A Layout and Updates

Yeah...I know. I've been kind of quiet lately. But no fear cause things are in the works.....I've been back on the puter gettin' back in the groove of things as far as designing goes. I'm working up my stash so I have freebies to offer to you. And there is new fun stuff coming so be patient. And guess what? One is a whole kit....a big one again cause I can't seem to stop once I get started. :-) Also a few background packs, journaling notes (these are WAY cool!) and some new elements are all what I have so far......I want to get a few more things done before they come.

Thanks for all the great comments on Natalie. She is a lot of fun...but yes a lot of work too. She eats ALL THE TIME and that part is kind of exhausting. Guess when there is 6 years between kids, you tend to forget how it goes a lot. And man oh man....giving up sleep is sure harder the second time around. LOL

But look at her.......she is just the cutest and it is all worth it! :-)

She's Here!

Hi, this is Kris! Kari's sister. I thought I would post a quick post for Kari while she's in the hospital resting up after all of her hard work bringing in her brand new baby girl. I wouldnt want any of you to miss out on anything. lol. I know she wouldnt either. So without further a do. Here she is.

Welcome to the world my new Niece! This future designer was born yesterday morning as Natalie Kristine. Notice the name... she's named after me... Yippeeee!!! I was so excited to hear that. How much more honored could I be? To have a child named after to me! My whole family is going wild over this cutie pie. Can you blame them. Check her out.

BABY is just 2 days away......

I know many of you have been wondering where I've been lately.... For those of you who don't know, I'm about to have my second child (another little girl!) and I go in for a scheduled cesarean on Wednesday......(yes...2 days from now!!!) I'm very excited, anxious, nervous, all of the above. Our household has been crazy lately getting ready. We have a smaller house and are in the process of building a play room to get all the toys out of the bed room that will now be for both girls. Lots of preparations and hurrying around to get things done. And you know...I'm not normally a procrastinator. Family arrives in town today so things will be even more hectic. It didn't even dawn on me that I'd have to have scheduled who was taking Kaia to school and who was picking her up and who she was staying overnight with the three days DH and I will be in the hospital. And then on top of that who will be bringing Kaia to meet her new little sister.......sigh. I guess one of those things that only a second or third time parent knows to do. I didn't think of it until the last minute.
On top of all that, I've been sick.......yuck. Not sick like flu or cold sick but gross sick - like morning sickness all over again only ten fold. What's up with that???? And tired....really tired. I've been sleeping more in the last week than I have in the last couple of weeks.
I know I'm really going to miss being pregnant. As much as some parts of it are not fun and I'm still being kicked on all my insides, I will still miss it. So I'm trying not to complain too much. But I've had about enough of this being pregnant. LOL For all those mom's out there, I know you know what I'm going through. And speaking of mom's. I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day! :-)

So, get this.....I actually did some layouts! LOL Beware to all of you - when you start getting into designing, all of a sudden you don't have time to do layouts anymore....sigh. I don't like that. But I've been challenged lately....and I'll explain more about that in a separate post. But check these out! :-)

Guess what? Every paper and element in this layout above was designed by ME! I challenged myself to do a layout using only designs by myself. I have to admit...was kind of weird but I think it turned out great and I had fun. And even better...only took me about 20 minutes. LOL

Oh......but even better. You can find every paper and every element in this layout and grab 'em up by just scrolling down and finding them! :-) Oh....except the background and the felt flower. Hmmm....may have to quickly remedy that and get those freebie sets up in the next few days, huh? :-)
