Check out this new set of BACKGROUNDS! :-)

I've been playing a little with making backgrounds and came up with this new set for you. Let me know what you think! I really like them - better than any backgrounds I've made yet. Who can't resist swirls, grungy and spring colors all mixed together? I know I can't. Hope you like them as much as I do! :-)

I can't wait.........I can't wait! I just can't wait!!!

So.......I just now posted the freebie below - my first kit. :-) BUT...I'm sooooooo excited about what you all are going to have a chance to get in the next few days. If you've kept up with my blog, you know I have a sister who also designs (we're partners in crime...oh, I mean design....)
And we have something soooo AWESOME for all of you that I can't even give you a hint....not even a teaser. But let me tell you - you are going to LOVE it. We've been working on it for days now and we think it is almost perfect. We are just putting together the preview and a few more details and you should see it soon!

For those of you who are new and don't know who my sister is....check out her blog here and get her awesome freebies available! She is another great designer and yes...I'm bias but you'll like her stuff......I promise. :-)

Are you READY??? My first "KIT" - Grass & Dirt :-)

Ok........so I consider this my first "kit" that has both papers and elements. You all saw a teaser before my blog went wonky last week. BUT HERE IT IS!!! :-) I'm soooo excited! You gotta tell me how I did on this......like I posted before, I'm a little nervous about it, so please please tell me how I did! :-)

The name isn't very creative - need to get better at that part. And I do find it funny that I'm surrounded by little girls but my first kit is in boy colors. LOL Hmmm...you think I wanted the baby in my tummy to be a boy? Ok ok...I'm happy with another girl too. :-)

Without further waiting.....here it is!

I'm back (for now....) and have another freebie for you!

Have I told everyone how much I dislike blogger? Well, then I won't bore you with the details again. But I'm just about to switch to typepad!

So, guess what? I've been learning at an exponential rate lately.....soo many new designing things I've been learning and sometimes I'll just sit here and think, "now what should I create?" I have a whole list of things I want to do and so far none of you out there have come up with a way I can lobby for more hours in the day! LOL Tonight I just experimented with a new program and I'm loving it. I'll tell you all more about it later....but I've been trying to find out how to create a thick painted look for a while now and I think I may have stumbled on to it. What is funny is that I knew of this program a long time ago and just bypassed it cause I didn't think too much of it at the time. Hmmm...that'll teach me.
Guess what? Got a new freebie for you! :-) Here is a closeup of one of the frames in this freebie. I'm showing you a lone sample because I'm not sure the preview below shows them accurately and may be deceiving as if you are getting single layer stitch frames or multi-layer.

A freebie that you asked for...AND a TEASER! :-)

Hi Everyone!
Guess what? You all are in for such a treat.......guess what I have for you tonight?!? He he - a teaser for something upcoming. I was really hesitant to post this at all but my sis convinced me I NEED to post it for all of you......However, you have to wait a few days cause there are few freebies that I've promised that I got to do first. :-)

But, just so that I get you hooked.....here is a teaser for the really awesome freebie I have coming up....
And now for one of those promised freebies. One of you wonderful viewers left a comment that you'd like to see negative film strips that are more versatile than the ones below that say Easter 2007. Well, funny thing is...I already had that planned. :-) And I knew if one of you asked for it, there were certainly more than just one of you that wanted it. So, without further waiting, here is your next freebie! :-)

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hi Everyone! Happy Easter! I hope you have enjoyed all the spring and easter goodies I've made for you. :-) I made these tonight and thought you just might like them for all your Easter 2007 layouts. I can't get enough negative film strips....I keep purchasing them all the time (even though I can make my own...I love supporting other designers).
Enjoy them and have a great Easter!

The Easter bunny has already visited our house and Kaia's basket is out in the open with a note saying she has to find 15 eggs hidden throughout the living room. You can bet I'll be taking pictures! :-)

Spring/Easter Freebie - Part 1 of 2

Hi Everyone! I would have had this posted yesterday except I was having problems getting it uploaded.....sigh, oh well. This is part 1 of 2 as most of you already know. First the frames, then the MEGA pack (yep, I said Mega pack...) of embellishments to go with it. Those will come tomorrow. But first the frames. These 4 x 6 frames are stitched felt in awesome sping easter colors. I had a ton of fun making them. First time I've used stitching and I think it turned out pretty good. Let me know what you think! :-) Oh, did I tell you that the mega pack that will be posted tomorrow has 34 pieces!?!?

Glitter Note MEGA Kit! :-)

For all of you that read my blog on a daily or regular basis, you all know what this is........YOU asked for it! :-) I asked you what shapes you'd like to see these glitter notes in and you all gave your ideas. All of you said simple shapes...stars, hearts, flowers, circles, etc. And I've been leading you up to this and teasing you all. It is finally here! TWENTY FOUR glitter notes! :-)
I'm going to keep this short and post it quickly without a lot of chatter cause I'm working on some other exciting stuff and I want to finish that so I have MORE for you tomorrow and the next day!! :-)

Wow! You all are GREAT!

I gotta tell you that all of you are great. And you all are what keep us designers designing. The positive attitude, the willingness to respond, etc. I got a ton of responses to my request for help below (scroll down). And I loved what you all had to say. And this is what I decided to do with those frames I gave you a preview of in that post. I will give them to you plain.....as is............BUT....in addition to those frames, you are going to get a HUGE mega pack of embellies to embellish them up with. LOL And you know what? This mega kit I'm referring to? It keeps getting bigger. In fact, I'm kind of getting carried away.

So, I keep telling you about these mega kits in the last few posts.....did I tell you one of them will be posted tomorrow????

See ya then! Gotta go to bed.....

Need more hours in the day!!!!

Ok......who can I talk to about putting more hours in the day???? Please, if someone knows the answer to this, you gotta tell me so I can start lobbying!!! I came home from work today with this huge agenda for finishing a couple of design projects. And you know what I did instead? I cooked steak, salad, and pasta. Then I did a rush clean job cause we are having a dinner party tomorrow for my daughter's birthday. I wrapped presents, put together party bags, made the crust for the fruit pizza (desert tomorrow), a load of laundry and here it is already 10:30!!! Sigh....
I am saving the mega pack to post tomorrow so don't forget to check back for that. But until then, I thought I'd leave you a hint of what is up and coming....he he, I just love teasing....

Grungy meets Pretty

I'm sooo NOT into "cutesy" stuff. And I'm not a real big fan of evenly spaced pattern stuff. So, when I was playing around and made these butterfly print papers, I certainly did not like them. Then I looked at them and thought....hey, what if I grunge them up a little??? I was afraid that mixing styles like that sooo would NOT work. But guess what??? They did. Viola......here is the result........and THESE I like. I hope you like them too. I might have to do more grungy meets pretty style stuff. Let me know what you think! :-)
And yes, I'm still stuck on spring colors. As you can see from the colors of these papers. And I promise, the preview doesn't even do these papers justice. And neither does the closeup. But I think when you open them, you'll most definitely like them.

Need YOUR opinion......please HELP!!!

Hi Everyone! So, I have a question for all of you. And the more that leave a comment, the more able I am to help create what YOU want.

When you do you layouts, do you like to dress up elements and layouts yourself or do you like "more finished" elements? For example....the frame below...would you use this in your layout and dress it up with other elements of your choice? OR Would you rather have this frame already dressed up, embellished, and ready to use?

Here is just my personal style. When I do a layout, I look for things to emphasize colors in my photo or stuff to "bring out" my photo. I never want to take the focal point away from my photo. So when I'm looking through my elements, I look for things that could dress them up. Now...if I came across this frame and loved it, but it had a flower on it that just didn't go with my layout, I wouldn't use it. However, if it is plain like it is below, I could dress it up myself. Now, remember...this is just MY personal style.

I'd like to know this to better fit YOUR needs. I know I can't please everyone but designers sure like to try! So, please leave a comment and let me know......remember, if you don't comment, I can't know what you like! :-)

More Glitter on the Way! :-)

I've been busy filling requests. I always ask all of you what you'd like to see and for my glitter notes I asked what shapes you'd like to and I got a lot of responses. And guess what??? It resulted in a mega pack of glitter notes! LOL Be watching, you 'll see that this week. I also have a great backpack of backgrounds that I created and a few more surprises.

Crazy Weekend

Wow - What a crazy weekend. As most of you know, I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant wtih my second. My oldest is 6 years old so it has been a while since I did the baby thing. Lots of preparation and I didn't save anything from my other girl, so lots of shopping too. He he. :-)

Through all the weekend preparation, I did get some designing done. New stuff and stuff that all of you have requested! Like this below! Here are "boy" frames you requested and guess what? The words are separate so you can interchange them in any way you want. I love the way these turned out. In fact, I like them better than the spring word frames you'll find by scrolling down. Let me know how you like them. I tried to use everyone's suggestions for colors and words. Let me know how I did! :-)
