Need YOUR opinion......please HELP!!!

Hi Everyone! So, I have a question for all of you. And the more that leave a comment, the more able I am to help create what YOU want.

When you do you layouts, do you like to dress up elements and layouts yourself or do you like "more finished" elements? For example....the frame below...would you use this in your layout and dress it up with other elements of your choice? OR Would you rather have this frame already dressed up, embellished, and ready to use?

Here is just my personal style. When I do a layout, I look for things to emphasize colors in my photo or stuff to "bring out" my photo. I never want to take the focal point away from my photo. So when I'm looking through my elements, I look for things that could dress them up. Now...if I came across this frame and loved it, but it had a flower on it that just didn't go with my layout, I wouldn't use it. However, if it is plain like it is below, I could dress it up myself. Now, remember...this is just MY personal style.

I'd like to know this to better fit YOUR needs. I know I can't please everyone but designers sure like to try! So, please leave a comment and let me know......remember, if you don't comment, I can't know what you like! :-)

I like it plain for the reasons you said. I can dress it up and bring out the colors I want :)

Dressed up is nice... I don't usually do too much "dressing" of frames myself.

I like to dress the frames myself, but love having a selection of small elements to use with the frames....butterflies, flowers, buttons, etc. This gives you the best of both worlds! I guess what I'm saying is that if YOU want to dress them, just leave the "dressings" separate so they also can be mixed and matched. Thanks for the great new set of frames and thanks for asking us what we like to have. That's really nice of you!

First, THANK YOU for all the goodies!!! I'm like you, I like the frame you have here, plain and then I can embellish to suite my page. As far as elements go, I would love to see a variety pack to go with various occasions and page themes. I have a ton of papers, but it's always hard to find the right elements. I wish I could create like you, but I just have no talent in that area, so I'm working with polymer clay and creating some of my own embellishments right now. Thanks again so much! -Sandy in MO soon Colorado!

I like plain ones mainly. Basically because the frame is to "pop" it off of the paper in the back.

Simple always gives more variety but then again when I'm feeling lazy...
so it all depends on my mood and the layout. Lots of help I am huh. LOL!

I would like to say a big MERCI!!! Your work is much appreciated. As for your question, I prefer plain for 2 reasons:
1- I can put the embellishments I prefer where I want.
2- less work for you! ha ha ha

Thanks Again!

Hey sis, I thought I would put my 2 cents in... lol. I like them plain, but I need matching elements... If you dont have elements to go with them, that match in colors, then its literally impossible to get matching elements from another kit. I like to dress them up, but I dont want to go to another kit to do it. Does that make sense? I hope you get lots of comments on this one, because its a good question.

I prefer the frame and elements separately ~ thanks bunches, for sharing your time and talent with us, kari!

I'm with you - leave it simple and let me add the embellishments. It makes for a much more versatile element and can be customized for boys or girls for example.

I agree with you. I would prefer to place my own additional element to the frame. That way you can place it differently or resize the other element to fit your needs. It would be nice to maybe have an idea of one dressed up to help give an idea.

I also appreciate when there are a mixture of frames in a kit. The example frame you posted on your blog is excellent... love the stitching. I don't think I would dress it with embellishments, however, the wide space at the bottom would be a great place for a bit of journaling. :)

It depends on the overall look Im going after, whether I want a dressed up frame or not. I don't really use frames since I dont know how to use them lol so I tend to stick to doodles & maybe add some color to them.

Hi Dear, I work the both ways. I thank God every day for talented people like you and, for me, all you make with those magical hands is right and beautiful. I don't mind dressing up, I like it. It all depends on the LO, sometimes you just want one more thing...

It all depends on the layout. I say both.

Thanks for sharing your talents.

I would vote for a dressed up frame, but with the 'dressing' on a separate layer. That way they can be used or not--or even put in a different position.

Wanted to thank you first for the wonderful gifts you give us . . . and also thank you for asking our opinions. I like the "plain frame" so that I can personalize it (though if a few elements were included with the frame, I just might use them!) I do enjoy looking at how other people personalize something like this . . . it help sparks my creativity.

I like to dress them up but with things that match from the same kit. Its hard to find something else from another kit to match cause the colors are not the same.

i'm with linda and kris on this one. i like them plain, but make stuff that matches in the color scheme so we can add what we want. little frame kits for different ocassions would be so cool. they could have word art, buttons, stickers, etc ...

I tend to use plain frames or tags, and then embellish according to the layout I am working on. When I see something I love, but it has a cluster of things that I would never use myself, I either pass it over right away, or if I still cant find just what I need, I will try to hide that portion -- say put my own embellies on top, erase them out to hide any overlap, put a journaling block on top of it, ribbons, or even another small photo. That is why I dont typically use quick pages, there is always something that i just dont love. This is just my personal preference. I like to feel that I am doing some of the creative stuff myself

I would like to have both - maybe provide a flower and some ricrak that matches or compliments the frame. Then if I want to use it I can, or I can use something else I have that compliments the picture. Can't wait to see what you will do!

I'd rather have it plain. That way if the colors don't match the embellishments you can change it.

I'm with you, I would rather see plain and be able to add things from other goodies that I have. I often mix 3 or 4 kits when I do a LO to get my own personal style.

Thanks for all that you are sharing. It is very nice.
